In the early to mid-twentieth century, many Jewish composers and songwriters fled persecution and annihilation in Europe and found refuge in the United States. They joined many other pioneering artists in Los Angeles to help build a burgeoning film industry.
These composers have created some of the most iconic moments in American Cinema. Their music still underscores and enhances our lives today.
