Sephardic and Mizrahi artists, architects and entrepreneurs – as well as Sephardic and Mizrahi artistic influences and trends – have made an imprint on Los Angeles. Some notable buildings like the Shrine Auditorium, whose structure follows a Moroccan architectural motif, were designed to reflect Sephardic styles while other buildings boast innovations lead by Jewish architects excited to design with new materials like steel and glass. New Mizrahi immigrants saw opportunity in beauty greatly influencing the flower trade. From Judaica to tiles, the influences of Sephardic and Mizrahi jews are as unique as their own aesthetic forms which appear throughout the communities.
